Access

03/09/2026 - Access currently suspended. Forestry England are currently undertaking improvements to the gate and have asked cavers to avoid the site until the works have been completed.

The mineshaft entrance can be found a few metres north of the main car park in Stock Hill woods, surrounded by a "collar" of mining spoil. The entrance is gated and has a CSCC padlock.
