UBLEY WARREN NATURE RESERVE

Mendip

Access

There are many mines on Ubley Warren Reserve (Somerset Wildlife Trust). Some are grilled and not accessible but many are gated and locked with the standard CSCC padlock. There are currently no formal access restrictions although at the request of SWT a formal agreement is being discussed.

Keys are usually available for loan from one of the Mendip clubs with huts. These are BEC, CSS, MCG, MNRC, SMCC, and WCC. It is advisable to make arrangements in advance.

In case of difficulty contact the CSCC Conservation and Access Officer.

Please report missing or damaged locks.

No digging is allowed in any of the sites and care must be taken not to disturb any bats present.
