Portland?s third longest system linking Flagpole Rift etc. are served by a path south from an overgrown cliff top enclosure adjoining the lay-by at the end of the public road. The road continuing north is private so please do not drive along it, though you may walk it. Please do not park in the gateway opposite. If the lay-by is full, park a little further back along the road, or discreetly use the signposted Youth Custody Centre car park nearby observing any parking restrictions.
WARNING: Cavers and Climbers on Portland, particularly at Westland, have had their ropes cut by vandals. If you cannot leave a sentry use a rigging technique that will not fail irretrievably under tampering.
